How to determine the type of your hair?

In order to choose the right shampoo, you should first know the type of your hair – most of good products are made for specific hair types and have a set of properties that are good only for this type. If you use the wrong chosen shampoo, it can only worsen the condition of hair. There are four types of hair: normal, dry, oily and mixed.

The luckiest are the owners of normal hair – they have a healthy, vibrant look, well, reflect the light thus shines in the sun, almost does not split, it is easy to comb and style the hair, besides it retains these qualities for several days after washing the head. However, normal hair is rare.

Oily hair has excess glitter, and within a short time after washing it sticks together into individual strands, because of what it is quickly becoming unattractive. It happens because of the excess activity of the sebaceous glands of the head, which can be as individual genetic characteristics, as well as the result of malnutrition.

Dry hair does not reflect much light, thus it seems to be dim. It can be brittle, clotted, ill-combed, and flogged at the tips. However, unlike the oily hair, sebaceous glands, or rather the lack of their activity has nothing to do with it – as a rule dry hair is the result of improper care, in particular, too frequent washing and use a hot hair dryer.

Long hair, usually belongs to a mixed type – because it is not oily along the entire length, near the roots hair is oily, and the tips – are often dry and splitted.

After determining the type of your hair, buy only those products that are made specifically for it – “universal” or “family” shampoos should be avoided.
